A group of artists and scientists fascinated by the Dodo commemorate the work of the Mauritius Wildlife Foundation. Alongside the first release of rare Mauritius Fodies, several extinct creatures including the Dodo are accurately reconstructed and returned to a predator free island habitat where they stand as a conservation showpiece (unveiled by the prime Minister). The film also documents continued restoration programmes that are saving numerous rare species from the brink of extinction.
